Having straight hair means that you create virtually any hairstyle you like, with the right products and tools of course. While wearing your hair in its naturally straight state is the easiest way to go, you have the option of adding curls and waves to style up your hair in more creative ways too. Plus, you never have to worry about frizz--bonus!

Choosing the right 'do for your straight locks will depend on your face shape, hair length and your personal sense of style. Some straight hairstyles will take more work than others, so consider how much time you want to spend on your hair each day. You will also want to consider your hair's condition. If you like to color your hair often or bleach it out, you'll want to avoid a super long hairstyle that will increase breakage in your tresses.

You can try on hundreds of straight hairstyles now, but to get you started we've compiled a list of the best straight hairstyles for all hair lengths.

    The Pixie Cut

For ladies who love short straight hair that is fun and sassy, a pixie cut is the way to go. This hairstyle requires minimal styling time and works with the hair's naturally straight texture. With regular trims, pixie cuts look stylish, modern and chic.

This pixie cut features long wispy layers on top and a jagged side-swept fringe. This style is ideal for ladies who like short hair but with some styling versatility, as the bangs can be worn off the face, swept to the side or pinned back.

Jamie Lee Curtis look chic in her short pixie cut with jagged layers on top. This hairstyle looks fabulous with glasses and works well for professional women who want a sophisticated look.

Ladies with short, straight hair sometimes have problems with limp, lank locks. A pixie cut like this one is the perfect solution with its oodles of volume, body and texture cut in throughout the tops and sides. The side-swept fringe is ideal for women with broad foreheads.

Go for a mod look with this asymmetrical pixie cut that features long layers on one side and shaved sides on the other. Our models' platinum blonde hair color perfects this hairstyle's modern, chic look.

    Long and Layered

Straight, silky hair looks stunning when worn long and layered. These hairstyles do take a lot of extra care to keep them looking healthy, but it is well worth it. Ladies who have trouble growing their hair long can use extensions to fill out their tresses and add color too.

Jourdan Dunn looks flawless in a long center-parted straight hairstyle. Her ends have been layered to perfection leaving them looking healthy and thick. This is a great hairstyle to show off a beautiful color, like Jourdan's ombre locks.

Alex Rose Wiesel looks glam with her long, straight tresses. She has added some extensions at the bottom in a darker color to add length and dimension. A simple center part and flat iron finish tops this hairstyle off.

Halle Berry looks gorgeous with her long, straight locks here that have been layered through the ends for a wispy finish. Halle has added a hair wrap for an extra dose of style.

    The Bob

Simple yet elegant, the bob is a great way to wear straight hair. This cut can be customized to suit your hair type and desired look by choosing blunt vs. layered ends, length, bangs/no bangs and style of bob. Will it be a graduated bob with lift at the back? Or one that is a uniform length all around and dusts the shoulders. The choice is yours!

Aisha Tyler looks lovely here in a shoulder length bob with layered fringe that isn't too heavy-her forehead peeks through a bit for a lighter, modern look. Her ends are blunt cut to dust the shoulders and frame her face nicely.

Kaitlin Olson's longer bob looks gorgeous here, with her center part creating a beautiful look and her ends dusting her decolletage. This straight bob shows off her beige and ash highlights to perfection and adds volume to her fine locks.

Emily Ratajkowski is a stunner in a graduated bob with some lift at the back. Her straight locks have been curled under slightly for a smooth and soft finish. Emily goes fringe-less here but this haircut also looks great with a forward or side-swept fringe.

Angela Bassett wears a classic bob here that has a timeless elegance to it. Her straight hair has been blunt cut to chin length and parted in the middle for a sleek look. Her jet black locks look shiny and glossy thanks to the super straight finish of this 'do.

    Straight Hairstyles with Bangs

If you need bangs to balance out your face, there are plenty of styles that will work with your straight hair. Here are just a few examples of hairstyles for all hair lengths that look great with bangs.

Paris Jackson flaunts an asymmetrical cut with choppy side-swept bangs and layers throughout. The tapered sides and back give this short, straight hairstyle some lift at the back while the longer layers in front create a gorgeous frame for the face.

Heavy bangs with a layered shag hairstyle looks edgy and chic, and is an ideal option for naturally straight hair. This versatile 'do can be worn down or pulled up for a totally different look.

Terri Polo looks lovely in a layered long pixie cut where the main feature is the thick jagged cut bangs that sweep across her face. This sassy 'do take minimal styling time and is a great way to combine a pixie cut with a long fringe.

Another good option for bangs is a pageboy bob. The bangs are the main feature of this hairstyle, which has a timeless sense of style. This is a good option for women with straight hair who want a classic, low maintenance style.

Wavy, kinky, curly, bouncy? We're here to tell you it's all beautiful. Curly hair cuties of the world are often never further than a couple feet from a flat iron but it's time to unplug and embrace the ringlet.

    Jourdan Dunn

Dunn stepped away from her classic sleek bob for this curly red style. The rich auburn is a particularly fresh take.

Chastain brings the Old Hollywood vibes anywhere she goes. Hot tools were definitely involved in the making of this look—because if you aren't Lauren Bacall, there's no way you woke up like this—but a few twirls of a wand or flat iron are worth the extra effort.

The badgal is a hair chameleon but these brushed-out waves give us total Diana Ross vibes. Label this the new hairstyle exclusively for icons.

Jennifer Lawrence debuted the ultimate beach hair on the red carpet. It’s a tousled Rachel Greene meets Blue Crush Bosworth thanks to Lawrence’s platinum blonde hair.

    Alison Brie

Badass fighter babe Brie recently debuted curls this year thanks to hairstylist Clayton Hawkins. Brie’s curls frame her face just so, giving us an updated ‘80s coif.

Red carpet hairstyle trends don't change that much from season to season. Romanic updos, bouncy curls, and textured waves will always be in attendance, and we assumed that the latter would rule the Billboard Music Awards tonight. But we're here to eat our words, because this year's red carpet was full of the complete opposite: Sleek, pin-straight bobs and lobs on everyone from J.Lo to Dua Lipa.

The best part? Sleek hair only seems hard to pull off. In reality, the style doesn't require much more than a trusty flat iron (if you don't have pin-straight hair already) and a healthy dose of shine serum or pomade. Need some inspiration? Check out our favorite bobs and lobs from this year's BBMAs.

For tonight's awards Jenna Dewan walked the carpet rocking a stick-straight hairdo. Looking to get a cut like Dewan's? As your stylist for a blunt bob that hits just below your chin.

"New Rules" singer Dua Lipa took the trend a step further, rocking a slicked-back bob with a deep side part.

En Vogue's Rhona Bennett paired a sleek and shiny bob with matching bronze shadow and lipstick.

Author, model, and host Padma Lakshmi stepped out in a pin-straight lob. Cop the look by running your favorite straightener through sectioned hair, then following up with a dose of shine serum (we love this one).

Billboard Music Awards host Kelly Clarkson let her structured gown take center stage by keeping her hair straight with a defined center part.

Jennifer Lopez has embraced dozens of different hair trends over the years, from sleek updos to billowy extensions. At this year's BBMAs though, she kept things simple with a straight lob. But in true J.Lo fashion, she added a little extra flare by messing up her mid-lengths and ends. Do the same with some texturizing spray or pomade.

    Wig Care Instructions

The proper care of your wig will keep it looking new. Most women prefer to have more than one wig, not only to alternate hairstyles, but to allow time for cleaning and drying. The frequency of washing depends on factors such as air quality and humidity. Generally, a wig should be washed after it has been worn 8 – 12 times, but this can vary.

To take care of your wig, follow the manufacturer's instruction or follow these simple instructions below that apply to your type of wig:

How to care for your Human Hair Wig

Before washing, gently brush the wig thoroughly with a wig brush. For wigs with a tight curl, do not brush, use fingers and gently remove tangles.

Use a mild shampoo. In a sink or basin, add a small amount of shampoo to cold water. Turn wig inside out and immerse. Gently swirl and let soak for approximately 5 minutes.

Rinse the wig gently in cold water until all of the shampoo is removed. Rinse twice.

Gently apply conditioner through the wig and leave on for 2 minutes to allow it to penetrate the hair.

Rinse the wig gently in cold water until all of the conditioner is removed.

Wrap the wig in a towel and gently pat out excess water.

Optional: Apply conditioning spray very lightly over wig, spraying 10 - 12 inches from the wig.

Place clean wig on a wig stand and allow to air dry thoroughly before brushing or combing. Do not allow the wig to dry in direct sunlight.

How to care for your Synthetic Wig

Before washing, gently brush the wig thoroughly with a wig brush. For wigs with a tight curl, do not brush, use fingers and gently remove tangles.

Use wig shampoo specially formulated for synthetic wigs. In a sink or basin, mix 2 capfuls of shampoo with cold water only. Turn wig inside out and immerse. Gently swirl and let soak for 5 minutes.

Rinse the wig gently in cold water until all shampoo is removed.

Apply 1 - 2 capfuls of wig conditioner. Allow the fibers to absorb the conditioner for about 2 minutes.

Rinse the wig gently in cold water until all of the conditioner is removed. Wrap the wig in a towel and gently pat out excess water. Do not rub.

Spritz a revitalizing conditioner over the entire surface of hair. This will further condition the wig fibers.

Important: To prevent fiber damage, do not use a hair dryer, curling iron or other drying aids and keep wigs away from all sources of excess heat or open flame (e.g. stoves, ovens, barbecues, cigarette lighters).

Place your clean wig on a wig stand and allow the wig to thoroughly air dry. Do not brush or comb the wig until completely dry. When dry, use a wig brush or hair pick to gently restore styling.

To give additional styling support and to add shine and body to your wig, spray entire hair surface with finishing spray.

Wigs, hairpieces, extensions…the faux hair industry has experienced quite a resurgence in the last several years. There’s hardly a celebrity out there who hasn’t sported a wig at least once in their career or personal life, and more of us common folk have glommed on to the trend, as well. They’re just so convenient, and present an effortless way to switch up your style at a moment’s notice. But how much do you know about this quintessential staple of your wardrobe? The next time someone compliments you on your perfectly styled ‘do, leave them more informed by trotting out one of these fun wig facts:

1.Queen Elizabeth I was certainly a fan of wigs…she owned 150 individual pieces!
2.The use of wigs can be traced back to ancient times. In fact, ancient Egyptians wore wigs out of necessity to protect their shaved heads from insects and the blazing sun.
3.In past centuries, wigs were actually more popular with men than women. King Louis XIV of France was responsible for a huge surge in hairpiece popularity in the 1600s—several other European monarchs and aristocrats soon followed suit.

4.Also in King Louis XIV’s time, the bigger the wig, the better. Wigs became a status symbol as only the upper class could afford them—hence the term “bigwig.”
5.Postmodern pop artist Andy Warhol, famous for his depictions of Campbell soup cans, was also known for his trademark white “fright” wigs. One of these notorious wigs sold at auction for an astonishing $10,800.
6.The second Lord of the Rings film, “The Two Towers,” had an enormous amount of armour, arrows, bows, and costumes made. But did you know it also had the most wigs ever created for a single movie?

7.The word “wig” derives from the French word “perruque,” which was eventually anglicized as “periwig.” This now archaic term was abandoned in the mid-1600s as more people began to shorten the word for the popular hairpiece.
8.In 1765, wig makers approached King George III with a petition demanding a law be created to ensure certain professions always required wigs to be worn. The king denied this petition, but tradition persisted. To this day, British judges and barristers wear wigs as a sign of respect for the offices they serve.
9.Wigs were certainly in style in Mozart’s day, but he had another reason to wear his fashionably fake coiff. Those low curls actually concealed a deformity in his left ear.

Have these juicy little tidbits left you craving a new style? Visit www.nextwigs.com and get your next “periwig!”

Synthetic wigs tend to be supplied in 'set' styles i.e. they hold a particular style even after washing. This makes it easier for you to be confident with your wig, especially if you lead a busy lifestyle. It is recommended that you avoid using heated appliances on ready-to-wear wigs and most manufacturers recommend towel-dry only.

A recent report in the "Journal of Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology" states that our body naturally produces hydrogen peroxide; over time, it builds up in the the hair follicles. As we age we make less of an enzyme called catalase, which keeps the peroxide in check. The resulting H2O2 interferes with the production of melanin, the pigment that gives hair it's color, and we go gray. . .

To me, it makes so much sense that the cause of gray hair would be an enzyme deficiency, specifically a deficiency in the catalase enzyme. Enzymes are vital to our health. They are involved in every metabolic process our bodies undergo. If we run out of enzymes, we run out of life. The larger the enzyme reserve we have, the more efficient and beautiful our body is.

This is one main reason why the raw food diet has become so popular. By keeping the enzymes in your food you use less of your body's enzyme reserve to digest your food. However, in our modern society the raw food diet is often not enough to replenish our enzyme reserves which have been depleted by stress, processed foods, lack of sun and proper exercise over generations of time.

Many people realize this and also take enzyme supplements. Again, this is not always sufficient, either because the enzymes are not in a form that is bio-available or they are not the right kind of enzymes our bodies require.

The best way to receive enzyme nutrition is through natural means. Your body is able to recognize natural sources more easily and therefore absorb more. So the key is to add super enzyme rich foods into your diet on a daily basis. Bee pollen is an excellent source of catalase. It also contains many other enzymes when it is fresh and stored correctly.
